Wellness Statements; where are they and why should I care?

When entering a country, it is very typical to ask the person entering if they have any fruit, >$10,000 in currency, and other relevant questions. In Asia, they also enable thermal scans to check for fevers. They have the benefit of everyone entering via one checkpoint. Most out door sporting events do not have this option.

We hear from our event production partners that the thing that keeps them up at night is players and parents not feeling confident enough to get in their cars to drive to the event. Confidence that is gained through smart procedures will enable them to make the trip.

Policies? Yes, but where are the Procedures

Everyone reports to have policies to maximize the safe playing conditions of their participants. What separates out smart event production firms vs one likely to have problems is PROACTIVE engagement and enablement of wellness attestations within 24 hours of the first game.

These are different than waiver, but similar. Timing of the wellness statement is critical, as is the public dissemination of everyone’s collective feedback. Do you want your child to be at an event where one of the kids was at the doctor’s office because they were not feeling well a few days prior but they really wanted to get out and play. It is not fair to the rest of us. With a little bit of intelligence and smart technology, we can get out shutdown of our economy, get back to engaging in sports and other activities, and do so confidently.
