The New Normal

Covid-19 has created many complex problem. Gaining confidence that the event production company is really thinking about safety will differentiate event producers. We do not see attendees filing lawsuits claiming negligence on the event producer due to some participants being high transmitter. But we do see event producers being held accountable if their event was not pre-screening

Beyond Hand Sanitizers

The new norm at events will be that they are cleaner. That high use areas (e.g., vendor condiment stations) will be cleaned regularly whereas historically they likely were not. Handing waivers in the morning of the event will not longer be acceptable, as handling that much paper is a risk that does not make sense. Everyone needs to be more organized and more attentive.

How do you get players and parents to decide to get into their car and come to the event?

Event producers will fail if the public is not confident in not only the event producer promoting a clean facility, but that the event producer upwardly manages who attends and how well those attendees feel. If someone went in for testing and is waiting for the results, should they stay home? But what if they really want to see their child play. We all know the answer, now we need a process by which we can all gain trust in each other that no one is a likely carrier of the virus.
